Occupation overview

Two licences, one tradesperson.

The plumber — sanitary & gas installer — installs, verifies and repairs fluid and gas systems in buildings, covering both sanitary plumbing and the regulated natural-gas network.

  • Water & drainage. Installs interior and exterior water-supply networks (cold and hot), drainage systems, floor drains and sanitary fixtures — basins, bidets, WC bowls, bathtubs.
  • Pressure & gas networks. Installs pressure-boosting systems using pumps and hydrophores; mounts natural-gas pipelines, fittings and meters.
  • Gas appliances. Installs domestic burners, apartment boilers, water heaters and convectors — including commissioning and pressure testing.
  • Diagnostics & repair. Locates leaks, blockages and stuck valves; proposes remediation solutions and executes repair works.
Skills required. Technical aptitude, precision, spatial reasoning, ability to read technical drawings, and the discipline to work safely on a regulated gas network.
The syllabus

Six modules. Every shift,
